>FiiO has equipped the latest FA7S with six high-performance balanced armature driver units. They have chosen high-quality Knowles BA drivers to be the heart and core of the FA7S. The pair utilizes Knowles HODVTEC-31618 Bass set that provides an extremely robust bass response with good extensions. The high-frequency is smooth and detailed, produced by the RAD-33518*2 Knowles treble driver set. For the midrange, Knowles developed a custom driver set for the FA7S delivering quality performance as a whole unit.

>FiiO designs its products with exquisite craftsmanship and precision. The FA7S is made out of medical-grade 316L stainless steel material using a powder metallurgy process. It adopts FiiO’s 3rd generation industrial-grade design. The pair undergo multiple processes such as 1000°c of high temp sintering after injection molding, and more to achieve a well-finished final product. Rear cavity here is hand-polished for a shiny, mirror-like finish. The faceplate here is made using a five-axis CNC machining process. FA7S earpieces go through a PVD electroplated coating for improved rigidity.

>FiiO FA7S has a high-purity silver-plated monocrystalline copper cable as its stock cable. The cable consists of 8 strands of 19 wires each collectively making a 152 wire cable. Each wire here is individually isolated and braided together in a Litz pattern. It has environmental-friendly TPU outer sheathing for a soft feel and removes any microphonic issues. The cable has angled MMCX connectors for easy connectivity. It has swappable termination plugs with FiiO’s newly developed Twist-Lock technology.

>FA7S is a successor to the award-winning FA7 that came out back in 2019. The FA7S brings several upgrades over the FA7 such as six BA configurations on each side instead of four, 3rd generation industrial-grade design, high-purity cable with swappable termination plugs, FA7S is more comparable to the Almighty FA9 multi-BA flagship in the FA lineup of FiiO.
